Perez Landscaping & Tree Services(“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website at perezgarden.com and the Perez Crew iOS application (bundle identifier com.perezlandscaping.crew). This policy explains what information we collect through both the website and the mobile app, how we use it, and the choices you have.

A note on the mobile app: Perez Crewis an internal tool for our employees and contracted crew members — it is not a consumer app. If you are a customer of Perez Landscaping, the information about you that appears in the app is information your assigned crew member has captured while preparing your quote or performing your service.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

When you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact information— name, phone number, email address, service address.
  • Project details— lot size, requested services, timeline, budget, and any photos or notes you share with us about your property.
  • Payment information— processed exclusively by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers on our systems; we receive only the last four digits and the payment confirmation reference.

Information collected through the Perez Crew mobile app

The Perez Crew app collects the following information while crew members use it on the job site:

  • Customer contact information— the same categories listed above, captured by the crew member when preparing a new quote or invoice.
  • Job-site photographs— images the crew member takes with the device camera or selects from the device photo library, attached to a quote, invoice, or visit log.
  • Approximate location— used to register in-person Tap to Pay transactions (a regulatory requirement of the payment network) and to log which property a job-site visit occurred at.
  • Voice notes— audio recordings the crew member captures inside the app to attach to a quote (microphone access is requested only when the user taps record).
  • Device and diagnostic information— standard crash reports and stability metrics provided by Apple to help us fix issues. This data does not identify individual users.

The app does not collect or transmit:

  • Precise GPS location in the background.
  • Your contacts, calendar, health data, motion data, or browsing history.
  • Advertising identifiers or third-party tracking identifiers.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To prepare quotes, schedule services, and dispatch crew.
  • To send appointment confirmations, service updates, and invoices by email or SMS.
  • To accept and process payments, including in-person card payments via Apple’s Tap to Pay on iPhone capability and online payments via Stripe Checkout.
  • To respond to your inquiries and provide ongoing customer support.
  • To improve our services, including diagnosing and fixing bugs in the mobile app.
  • To comply with legal and tax obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with the following categories of recipients, and only to the extent necessary to deliver our services:

  • Stripe, Inc.— payment processing for both online and Tap to Pay transactions. Stripe’s privacy practices are described at stripe.com/privacy.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)— cloud hosting for our website, database, and file storage. AWS acts as a data processor on our behalf and does not have independent rights to your data.
  • Apple Inc.— distribution of the Perez Crew iOS app and standard App Store/TestFlight diagnostics. Apple may collect aggregated, anonymized usage and crash data per its privacy policy.
  • Legal authorities— when required by valid legal process or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Perez Landscaping, our employees, or our customers.

4. SMS Communications

By providing your phone number when scheduling a service or requesting a quote, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages from us regarding your bookings, including appointment reminders, arrival notifications, and invoice notices. Standard message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP; reply HELP for assistance. We do not send marketing SMS.

5. Data Security

We protect your information using industry-standard measures including TLS encryption for data in transit, encryption at rest in AWS, restricted administrator access, and PCI-DSS-compliant payment processing through Stripe. While no system is perfectly secure, we take security seriously and notify affected individuals if a breach requires it under applicable law.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as we need it to:

  • Provide the services you requested;
  • Comply with our tax, accounting, and legal obligations (typically seven years for financial records);
  • Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

Job-site photographs and voice notes are retained for the lifetime of the relevant project record. You may request deletion at any time (see “Your Rights” below).

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access— request a copy of the information we hold about you.
  • Correct— ask us to fix information that is inaccurate or out of date.
  • Delete— ask us to delete your information, subject to our legal record-keeping obligations.
  • Withdraw consent— opt out of SMS messages, marketing emails, or future contact at any time.

8. Children

Neither our website nor the Perez Crew app is directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. International Users

Our services are provided from the United States. If you access them from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email or through the Perez Crew app. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
